This Friday, 9/18/2026, SBHS is hosting three daytime softball games (game times are 10am, Noon and 2pm). We are asking student drivers and staff members to avoid parking in the area between the weight room and the athletic complex (image attached). Reminder about attending extracurricular/athletic events as a spectator:
Students must be in school all hours on the day of an activity before they will be allowed to participate in or attend that activity. A student must be in attendance for all hours on the last day of the school week to attend an event occurring prior to the beginning of the next school week (this include events like homecoming, courtwarming, prom, team/individual contests, and field trips). A student may be able to participate in scheduled school activities if the absence meets any of the following criteria: a) medical or other professional documented absence, b) court, c) funeral, d) college visits with corresponding document proof, and e) cases specifically approved by the principal in advance. Appropriate documentation is required for these absences.

Parking clarification.
Friday, 9/11/26, the high school is hosting three soccer games during the day. Restricting parking between the weight room and athletic complex will provide much needed parking for visiting fans during the day. Parking restrictions are only during the day and resume to normal for the football game tomorrow evening.

🎉🌟 Southern Boone School District is proud to announce that Southern Boone Middle School and Southern Boone High School have been named 2025–2026 National Beta Schools of Distinction!
Both schools earned this national recognition by increasing their Beta Club membership by at least 10% over the previous year. The award honors schools committed to academic achievement, exemplary character, leadership and service to others.
