🌸🌼 Spreading Joy on May Day! 🌼🌸
Mrs. Francis’ and Mrs. Loehner’s Kindergarten classes from Southern Boone Primary School made this May Day extra special! On Thursday, students delivered beautiful May baskets to neighboring houses, spreading smiles and springtime cheer. The kids had a lot of fun making the baskets and sharing them with our community.
A big thank you to the students, teachers and everyone who made this delightful tradition possible! It's moments like these that remind us how much joy our school brings to the community.

Members of Southern Boone Middle School's Jr. Beta Club and the high school's Beta Club spent the morning at The Food Bank for Central and Northeast Missouri in Columbia and boxed 1,800 pounds of crackers.

📚 Southern Boone Scholar Bowl Team Competes at National Championship in Chicago 🌟
The Southern Boone Varsity Scholar Bowl Team had a fantastic experience at the NAQT Small Schools National Championship tournament in Chicago this past weekend. The team put up a strong fight in the preliminary rounds, earning four wins and six losses. Although they did not advance to the semi-finals, it's worth noting that two of their losses were against teams that ended up in the top 10 overall.
A special shoutout goes to sophomore Max Rice, who was named a "Rising Star" for the second consecutive year! He ranked as the third highest scorer among all freshman and sophomores in the tournament, and the 8th highest scorer from Missouri, earning recognition from the Missouri Quiz Bowl Alliance.
The team was led by senior captain Zoe Anderson Clark, with sophomores Max Rice, Josie Lambiotte, Trenton John, and alternates sophomore Taylor Crandall and freshman Kerington Condron. They not only showcased their academic talents but also enjoyed the camaraderie with other teams and even got to explore a bit of Chicago during the trip. Great job, team!

The Southern Boone County R-I School District is pleased to announce Dr. Dawn Day as the new principal at Southern Boone Middle School. She is currently a principal in the Jefferson City School District and will officially begin her duties with Southern Boone on July 1st, 2024.

This new center represents the culmination of hard work, innovative thinking and a shared vision for creating pathways that connect education to industry. This new campus will equip our students with the skills they need to succeed in the workforce of tomorrow.
