The Southern Boone County R-I School District is pleased to announce Alex Fields as the new assistant principal at Southern Boone Middle School. He is currently an 8th grade social studies teacher in the North Kansas City School District and will officially begin his duties with Southern Boone on July 1st, 2024. Southern Boone Primary School hosted a delightful end-of-the-year celebration and brunch this morning to honor their reading mentors and volunteers. These incredible individuals have contributed significantly, from assisting students with their reading to helping teachers with various tasks such as making copies. Their dedication and time have greatly impacted our students, teachers, and the entire primary school community. REMINDER: Southern Boone PTA is hosting a Food Truck Frenzy fundraiser tonight from 5PM-8PM in the primary/elementary school bus loop. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Southern Boone PTA to help support teachers and staff in our school district.

Coach Karr spent the night on the top of the primary school to help raise money for the school's APEX fundraiser. Students and parents can drop off a donation this morning. Donations will go to APEX and help purchase new playground equipment and classroom materials.
