Southern Boone High School Senior Benton Struchtemeyer has been named one of the state's top academic students through the 2024 Missouri Scholars 100 program. This statewide initiative is organized by the Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals and recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of 100 outstanding students from the graduating Class of 2024.
Missouri Scholars 100 is a competitive program that invites schools across the state to nominate candidates based on academic excellence. The selection process employs a formula considering the student's grade point average and ACT or SAT scores. Nominees must meet the criteria of an Academic Decathlon, successfully navigating ten challenging academic events to showcase their scholastic strength.
The 30th Annual Missouri Scholars 100 Luncheon was held Sunday, April 21st, 2024, at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia, Missouri. Congratulations, Benton!

Students in Mrs. Hammann's kindergarten class enjoyed a super exciting baby chick week! They incubated eggs for a week and then, on Thursday, the eggs began hatching. The class was very excited to see the baby chicks.
SAVE THE DATE: Southern Boone Middle School will be hosting 8th Grade Promotion on Tuesday, May 21st at 6:30PM in the middle school gym. The Southern Boone Learning Garden provided 9 lbs of carrots, nearly 7 lbs of radishes and 27 bags of mixed greens to the Southern Boone Buddy Pack Program this week!

Congratulations to Southern Boone High School Student Amelia Hawkins for being selected as a Missouri FFA State Officer. She will officially be sworn into office this Friday during the Missouri State FFA Convention in Columbia.
School Superintendent Dr. Tim Roth gave an update about the school district at this morning's Southern Boone Community Leader Breakfast hosted by the Southern Boone Economic Development Council. High school student Benton Struchtemeyer is the FBLA President and provided an update on how the students did at State FBLA Competition.
