FOOD DRIVE: SBC FFA is partnering with the Mid-Missouri Food Bank and hosting a food drive this week. Buckets have been placed in the HS Commons. The incentive is the title of "Best Class in the Universe'' which will be announced during morning announcements preferably. The collection can include any non-perishable items, and the winner will be the class that collects the most items.

Senior Spotlights will start being posted tomorrow and continue through this weekend to honor our graduating class of 2024! Students wrote a research essay on a global issue for Mrs. Clements's English classes, and on May 3rd, attended the Missouri Youth Institute at the University of Missouri to present their research to a panel of experts in a roundtable discussion with other students from all over Missouri. They received questions about their research from the experts and other students who attended and received feedback on their research presentation.

Yesterday, high school students in Epsilon Beta enjoyed a field trip to Columbia to tour behind the scenes at Daniel Boone Regional Library, Skylark Book Shop, and the State Historical Society of Missouri. They were gifted free ARC copies of books from Skylark, got goodies and library cards from the library, and toured not only the archives but also the Ginger Rogers exhibit at the State Historical Society. It was a great day!

Join the high school pop choir for Sabotage Karaoke on April 19th from 6:00-7:30 pm in the high school auditorium. There also will be a special performance by the pop choir!
Members of Southern Boone's Future Business Leaders of America participated this week in the State FBLA Competition in Springfield. The Entrepreneurship team consisting of Alex Rice, Benton Struchtemeyer and Ryker Zimmerman earned 1st place and will be advancing to FBLA Nationals in Orlando, Florida at the end of June. Benton Struchtemeyer also finished 2nd place in the Securities and Investment objective test. Congratulations!
